Healthy Style Mac 'n Beef

Sunday’s Made Easy

4 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 lb. grass fed beef
1 large (29 ounce) can of tomato puree
1 box macaroni pasta

Heat oil, garlic, pepper flakes, and turmeric in a large stovetop pan for 1 minute. Add sliced bell pepper and onion and sauté on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add beef and sauté for 5 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring consistently. Add tomato puree and stir to blend. Heat to a boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes (this is your sauce). Boil pasta, drain, and place in a large bowl. Pour sauce over pasta and serve. Serve with a side salad and crusty bread. Makes 8 servings. Cool any leftover pasta and sauce before refrigerating.
